There are few sounds more life-enhancing than the uncontrollable chuckle of a small child; the one that emerges from deep in the belly, the one that lacks any self-consciousness, as if their whole being has been consumed by a giggle.
Written and illustrated by Chloe Bonfield Running Press Kids I found this to be a very beautiful, sweet story about a young boy’s quest to find the perfect tree – though a bit sinister, a bit macabre, in the atmospheric-sense, which of course I liked.
